Liberland signe un traité bilatéral avec l'Observateur de l'ONU IIMSAM
La République Libre de Liberland (Liberland), représentée par le Président Vit Jedlicka, a signé aujourd'hui un traité bilatéral avec l'Institution intergouvernementale pour l'utilisation de la microalgue spiruline contre la malnutrition (IIMSAM), observateur intergouvernemental auprès du Conseil économique et social des Nations Unies. Le traité bilatéral vise à promouvoir la recherche scientifique, les initiatives et l'éducation en faveur de la coopération internationale afin d'utiliser la spiruline pour éradiquer la malnutrition et atteindre la sécurité alimentaire.
Dans son allocution, l'Ambassadeur itinérant de l'IIMSAM, S.E. Rami el-Attar, représentant le Secrétaire général de l'IIMSAM, en présence de S.E. Inad Nahas, a déclaré : " Nous nous réjouissons de travailler avec le Président de Liberland dans une synergie de coopération à l'appui du mandat de l'IIMSAM et des objectifs de développement durable des Nations Unies pour 2015-2030. A cette fin, nous sommes honorés qu'il signe le Traité de libre-échange de l'IIMSAM pour soutenir nos relations diplomatiques bilatérales conformément aux normes diplomatiques internationales".
Le président de Liberland, Vit Jedlicka, a déclaré : " Liberland a fortement soutenu l'application de technologies innovantes pour éradiquer la malnutrition et résoudre la crise alimentaire mondiale. Notre accord bilatéral avec l'IIMSAM, un observateur intergouvernemental auprès des Nations Unies, permettra de tirer parti de la base de connaissances de Liberland dans la poursuite de la sécurité alimentaire une fois pour toutes".
La République Libre de Liberland, pays fondé sur les principes de la liberté individuelle, a été proclamée le 13 avril 2015 sur une parcelle de terre sur le Danube entre la Croatie et la Serbie. La revendication territoriale a été faite conformément au droit international concernant la terra nullius, car elle n'avait pas été revendiquée par la Serbie ou la Croatie et n'avait plus aucune affiliation étatique avec l'un ou l'autre pays voisin. Aujourd'hui, Liberland compte près d'un demi-million de demandeurs de citoyenneté.
